What this site is
Jellyfish Real Estate is a directory and marketing service for homes offered on rent-to-own and lease purchase terms in Ontario. It is not a real estate brokerage. Nobody at Jellyfish Real Estate trades in real estate on your behalf, represents you in a transaction or holds your money. Any lease, option or purchase you enter is a private agreement between you and the property's owner.
What a listing is
A listing is a summary of terms supplied by a property's owner and confirmed under our listing standard. We work to keep listings accurate, current and dated and a listing remains a summary: the signed agreement, not the card, is the document that binds anyone. Verify the terms against the agreement itself, with independent legal advice, before paying anything.
Operator profiles
The operator directories profile independent businesses from public sources — the operators' own websites, public listings and records — with the date each profile was checked shown on the card. Any operator can ask us to correct a profile or take it down and we will.
How Jellyfish is paid
Visitors use the directory free. Owners and operators pay flat marketing fees to list and a flat introduction fee when we connect them with a matched household. Every fee is flat: it is never a percentage of a sale and it never depends on a lease or purchase completing.
Information on this site
Guides, figures and calculator results are general education. Market figures carry their sources and dates beside them and age at the speed markets do. Calculator output is an estimate built on assumptions printed beside it. Nothing here is legal, financial or tax advice, a mortgage approval or a promise about any home, price or outcome.
Your responsibilities
- Give accurate information on the waitlist; matching runs on what you tell us.
- Do not submit listings or reports you know to be false.
- Do not copy listings from this site to republish them elsewhere as your own inventory.
Our responsibilities
- Publish listings only with owner consent and full terms and expire them when confirmation lapses.
- Act on reports under the listing standard and correct errors we confirm.
- Keep the not-a-brokerage disclosure on every page, including this one, in the footer below.
Using the forms
The waitlist and contribute forms deliver to Jellyfish Real Estate directly. Submitting a form is a request, never a contract. Nothing on this site is an offer of a specific home.
